Hi, I'm a freelance visual and fine artist. I was born in Namibia and grew up there and in Cape Town South Africa.

My drawing started early.  I remember occasions when I was only 7 or 8 such as a New Years street carnival celebration in the city or midnight fireworks display over the harbour and excitedly capturing these scenes afterwards in colour pencils. This was the begining of a tradition that would last.

In 2016 I moved to the beautiful karoo.  The small town itself and natural environment surrounding me here are a tremendously posative influence. The front part of my home I turned into a little gallery and named Kraairivier Huis, translated from afrikaans 'Crows Creek'.

I am a painter especially from life and am committed to the landscape in this way.  My understanding is that simply inhabitting a given space is often the greatest reward, and that this in turn affects what I convey in a frame. My paintings have exhibited at fine art galleries around the country.

I also work selectively as a designer and illustrator with experience in children’s literature, book covers, storyboards and visual development.
